Bihar STET 2025 Overview
Bihar STET 2025: The application window for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 opened on Friday, September 11, and will remain accessible until September 19. Candidates who have completed their B.Ed can apply through the official BSEB website. The examination is scheduled to take place from October 4 to October 25, leaving limited time for candidates to prepare.
Exam Structure and Eligibility
The Bihar STET is administered by the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) and is essential for those aspiring to become teachers after obtaining a B.Ed degree. Eligibility criteria include a graduation degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed qualification. Additionally, candidates must be under 37 years of age. Applications for the Bihar STET 2025 can be submitted until September 19 at secondary.biharboardonline.com.
Exam Format
Similar to the CTET, the Bihar STET consists of two papers. The first paper assesses the eligibility of primary teachers, covering topics such as Child Development, Language, Mathematics, and Environmental Science. The second paper focuses on secondary class teachers, including questions on Child Development, Language, and subject-specific areas like Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.
Marks Distribution and Negative Marking
Each paper lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates opting for both papers will spend a total of 5 hours answering 300 questions (150 questions per paper). All questions are multiple-choice, with four options provided for each question.
In terms of scoring, each question carries one mark, making both papers worth 150 marks each. Importantly, there is no negative marking; incorrect answers do not result in any deduction of points.
