Two top-order batsmen Sam Konstas and Nathan McSweeney scored brilliant centuries to put the team in a strong position. Sam Konstas and McSweeneys brilliant innings Sam Konstas played a quick innings of 109 runs in 114 balls in which he hit 10 fours and 3 sixes. At the same time captain Nathan McSweeney made a slow but important contribution by scoring 13 runs. Both batsmen together kept the pressure on the Indian bowlers and made a partnership of 198 runs for the first wicket. Harsh Dubey brought back hope Although Australia A had a great start Harsh Dubey raised a ray of hope for India A. He tried to bring balance to the match by taking 3 wickets. Gurnoor Brar and Khaleel Ahmed also got one wicket each but the bowling was expensive in terms of economy.
