When is Amavasya?

According to the Vedic almanac, the date of Sarvapitra Amavasya will begin on 21 September 2025 from 12.16 am and which will end on 22 September 2025 late at 01:30 pm. In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, Sarvapritri Amavasya will be celebrated on 21 September 2025.

Auspicious time to offer ancestors

After the Shraddha Paksha lasting 16 days, on the Sarvapitra Amavasya Tithi, the ancestors will be given a bid farewell to the earth. On this day, the ancestors are offered to the ancestors while performing Shraddha in Kutup Muhurta and Rohini Muhurta. Kutup Muhurta will be from 11:50 am to 12.38 pm. At the same time, the auspicious time to offer ancestors in Rohini Muhurta will be from 12 noon to 01:27 minutes. According to the scriptures, noon is considered very good to offer offerings to the ancestors on all -round Amavasya.
