The body of popular singer and social worker Zubin Garg was brought from Singapore to Delhi on Saturday midnight. His body reached Indira Gandhi International Airport by Air India flight. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma himself was present here. He paid tribute to the singer and took his body. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margerita and senior officials of the Assam government posted in Delhi. After reaching Delhi, the body of the singer will be taken to Guwahati by a special plane on Sunday morning. After reaching Guwahati, the body will be brought to his house, where family members, fans and well -wishers will be able to visit the last.

Jubin Garg went to Singapore for the North East India Festival to be held on 20 and 21 September. He was made the cultural brand ambassador of the event. It was expected that he would make the atmosphere more special by singing his famous Assamese, Hindi and Bengali songs at the inauguration ceremony of the festival. But luck had something else approved. A scuba diving session for fun suddenly turned into a tragedy. Jubin had a serious problem in breathing during diving. He was immediately rushed to Singapore General Hospital, but despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be rescued at 2:30 pm on Friday.

‘People shed me Brahmaputra’

Jubin Garg’s music was his true identity, but at the same time he used to share his dreams and thinking openly. In an interview in January this year, he told how he wants to see his life and death. He had said, ‘I am crazy, I want to give everything to people, not for myself. My studio is my home and I am happy here. He also expressed his wish that he wanted to spend on his last day in ‘Tilla’ on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. This is the same place which is also known as Borfukonar Tilla or Etakhuli Tilla. Zubin had said that there would be a small bungalow where they will stay and would like to merge in the river after death. He had said, ‘This is one of the most beautiful places one of the most beautiful places. When I die, people burn me there or shed me in the Brahmaputra. I am a soldier, I am like a Rambo.

Zubine used to do not only singing but also social service

Jubin Garg was not only a singer, but he was also an actor, musician and social worker. He gave Bollywood many hit songs- ‘Ya Ali’ (Gangster), ‘Dil Tu Hi Bat’ (Krish 3), besides thousands of Assamese and Local songs. His music was not just a source of entertainment, but also a bridge connecting people’s feelings. His contribution in social service is also unforgettable. He collected relief materials, medicines and clothes for the flood victims through the Kalaguru Artist Foundation. From football charity matches to the collection of money, he made every effort to help the needy. During the Kovid epidemic, he converted his Kothi in Guwahati into a Kovid Care Center. Many people were saved here. This is the greatest proof of their humanity and thinking of living for others.

His thinking clearly reflects how deep he was connected with his culture, his roots and the land of Assam.
