
New Delhi: Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has taken a big step to provide relief to the flood affected areas of Punjab. On the instructions of the organization’s president Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani, a convoy of 30 trucks loaded with relief materials of about Rs 50 lakh was sent from the Zamiat Relief Center in Ludhiana. This convoy will help in areas such as Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthala, Aznala, Taranataran, Fazilka, Gurdaspur, Ferozepur and Ludhiana, who were destroyed by floods.
Leading convoy and support of Sikh community
The convoy was led by Nazim-e-Ala Maulana Mohammad Yehya Karimi of Jamiat Ulama Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The central and local leaders of Jamiat, ministers of the Punjab government, social and political personalities and a large number of Sikh brothers were present on the occasion of departure. The Sikh community praised this noble initiative of Jamiat. He said, “When we see a flag with white and black stripes, we understand that this convoy has come for our help and brotherhood.”
Maulana Madani’s message: Our duty to serve humanity
On this occasion, Maulana Mohammad Yehaya Karimi read the message of Maulana Mahmud Asad Madani. Maulana Madni said, “Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind considers humanity to be her duty without any discrimination. The whole world is a family of Allah, and near Allah, the same person is the best person who loves her family. We are standing shoulder to shoulder with our Sikh brothers in this difficult time. He also said that the Sikh community is famous all over the world for the service of humanity, and who helps others, Allah also sends his noble bandages to help him.
Jamiat teams engaged in relief work day and night
Maulana Yehya Karimi said that under the supervision of Maulana Mohammad Hakimuddin Kasami, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, the entire team of Mewat, Mufti Mohammad Salim, Mufti Arif (Ludhiana), Haji Naushad Alam, Ludhiana Jamiat Youth Club activists and the responsible reasons of Western UP and Gujarat are already involved in the relief and re-affected areas. These teams will remain stuck until the need is met.
