Who were the doctors of the Mughals?

In the era of Mughals, Hakim was considered a doctor. The development of Greek medical system was more in the rule of the Mughals. Its basis was the knowledge of Greek, Persian and Arabia. Diseases were treated with herbs, minerals and avoiding. In the court of the Mughals, separate hakims were appointed for the emperor and the royal family. However, due to the practice of Ayurveda in India, Ayurveda experts were also appointed in the court of the Mughals, especially during Akbar's rule.

Humam earned the most name as Hakim. Hakim Humam was a personal doctor of Mughal emperor Akbar. At the same time, Mukarb Khan was appointed as a private doctor of Jahangir. She was a friend of Jahangir with being a doctor. Muhammad Akbar Arjani is also mentioned in the history of Mughals. Entry of foreign doctors in Sultanate

After the Mughals came to India, their popularity increased. Tales of Haram reached many countries. The entry of foreign doctors gradually started in the Mughal Sultanate. It started from the era of Shah Jahan. Many Portuguese, Dutch and English doctors and surgeons came to India. Connected to the Mughal Empire.

In 1658, a doctor by profession, François Bernier reached Hindustan. Many stories of Mughal Sultanate came out through Bernier. After becoming a part of the Sultanate, friendship came to Dara Shikoh. Bernier in his book 'Travels in the Mughal India' recorded many stories of Haram, Aurangzeb, Dara Shikoh and recorded many stories.

The doctor who treated Jahanara increased the British business

Surgeon Gabriel Botan reached Hindustan by ship of East India Company. Usually they used to treat passengers and sailors on the trading ships of the British. Many historians claim that in 1640 Shah Jahan and his daughter were called to the Mughal court to treat Jahanara. Jahanara was badly burnt, but the treatment of Gabriel took Shehzadi out of the mouth of death. Shah Jahan was happy with this and got respect in the Mughal court.

Due to Gabriel, the British got many discounts in business. The British were allowed to trade on Bengal and Suraj's ports. Gabriel is considered a major contribution in getting relief to the British and increasing the scope of business.
