Diseases were treated with herbs, minerals and avoiding. In the court of the Mughals, separate hakims were appointed for the emperor and the royal family. Bernier in his book 'Travels in the Mughal India' recorded many stories of Haram, Aurangzeb, Dara Shikoh and recorded many stories.

The doctor who treated Jahanara increased the British business

Surgeon Gabriel Botan reached Hindustan by ship of East India Company. Usually they used to treat passengers and sailors on the trading ships of the British. Many historians claim that in 1640 Shah Jahan and his daughter were called to the Mughal court to treat Jahanara. Jahanara was badly burnt, but the treatment of Gabriel took Shehzadi out of the mouth of death. Shah Jahan was happy with this and got respect in the Mughal court.
