WhatsApp Live Translation Feature: The messaging app WhatsApp has introduced a new feature for its users. With over three billion users worldwide, this feature will prove extremely effective in connecting users of different languages.
WhatsApp Live Translation allows real-time translation of incoming messages into different languages during a chat. WhatsApp explained in its blog post that this feature is in-app, meaning users don't have to leave the app to use it.
Available in 6 languages for Android users
According to information provided by WhatsApp, this feature will initially be available in six languages: English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic for Android users. For iOS users, it will be available in 19 languages.
Users won't need a separate app to use this feature. Instead, they'll be able to use it while chatting in the same way they've been doing so far. When you receive a message on WhatsApp and want to translate it into your preferred language, you simply need to tap the message for a while. After this, you'll see the "Translate" option, from where you can read the message in your preferred language. This feature will work not only in individual chats, but also in group chats and channel updates.
There will also be automatic translation.WhatsApp said it has also added an additional feature for Android users, allowing them to choose to auto-translate an entire chat. This will make all future messages in that chat appear in the selected language.
