The Maharashtra government's "Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana" provides financial support to millions of women in the state. Under this scheme, women aged 21 to 65 are sent ₹1,500 directly into their bank accounts every month. If you're eligible for this scheme and want this money to continue arriving in your account, complete your e-KYC immediately. Otherwise, your funds may be blocked.

E-KYC has become mandatory.
Recently, the government issued an order stating that every woman benefiting from the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana must now complete their e-KYC. This process must be completed within the next two months; otherwise, the monthly ₹1,500 credit to their bank account may be blocked. The government has also clarified that this process will now have to be repeated every year.

Easy way to complete e-KYC (Ladki Bahin Yojana e-KYC process)
Completing e-KYC is very easy, and you can do it from the comfort of your home. Simply follow these steps:

First, open an internet browser on your computer or smartphone and visit the government's official website, ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in.
On the website's homepage, you'll see the 'e-KYC' option. Click on it.
A form will open. You'll need to fill in essential details such as your name, address, ration card number, income information, and Aadhaar card number. You may also be asked to upload scanned copies or photos of certain relevant documents.
After filling in all the information and uploading the documents, click the 'Submit' button. This will complete your e-KYC process.

Why e-KYC is necessary
Recently, it was revealed that approximately 26.34 lakh fake beneficiaries, including men, were receiving funds under this scheme. Following this misstep, the government made e-KYC mandatory to ensure transparency and ensure that benefits reach the rightful beneficiaries. Currently, 2.25 crore women are enrolled in this scheme.
