Tomorrow i.e. on September 27, banks will remain closed across the country. The reason is that this day is the fourth Saturday of the month. According to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks do not work on every other and fourth Saturdays.

RBI releases banks’ holiday list every year. This includes two types of holidays
- National Holidays: Like 26 January, August 15 and October 2, these days banks across the country are closed.
- State Special Holidays: These holidays are decided on the basis of festivals and local events of different states.
The rest of September holidays (Bank Holiday)
If you are going to go to the bank this month, then take care of these dates:
- September 29 (Monday): Banks will be closed in Agartala, Kolkata and Guwahati on the occasion of Mahasaptami.
- September 30 (Tuesday): Due to Durga Ashtami, banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.
This means that the functioning of the bank will be affected for two consecutive days in many cities.
