The Yogi government of the state can give a Diwali gift to the state employees for the increased rate of bonus and dearness allowance. About 1.5 million non -gazetted employees will get bonus.

The maximum bonus amount can be Rs 7000. At the same time, now the dearness allowance of employees with seventh pay scale will increase from 55 percent to 58 percent. The number of non -gazetted employees, workcharges and daily wage earners in the state is about 14.81 lakhs. The government will give a gift of bonus to all these before Deepawali. The bonus will bring an additional burden of about Rs 1000 crore to the government treasury.
