Ever wanted to know exactly how high your armrests need to be for optimum comfort? Secretlab's new InfinitePrecision Armrest does exactly that.
Designed and created with the best professional esports players, like Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, in mind, the InfinitePrecision Armrest is a new add-on for Secretlab's excellent Titan Evo chair, which offers ultimate precision when it comes to height adjustments and, more importantly, gives you a real-time reading of the exact height measurement. For esports players like Faker, at the biggest events, you can imagine this could be a really useful tool to have in their toolbag, particularly as it's difficult to maintain consistency of their setup across esports events.

Adjust with accuracyNot only can you calibrate the height of the armrests individually, but they also feature a proprietary hydraulic system for adjustment rather than a conventional stepped mechanism. This means you can adjust the height, up to 78mm of adjustment, a millimetres at a time, rather than relying on the standard steps. And it's the same story with side-to-side adjustment (up to 24mm) and front-to-back adjustment (up to 50mm), both of which are also stepless, and smooth.
All of this is great, but as someone who is very mucuh not an esports player and who doesn't travel to international esports events, I found them to be really useful, albeit in a very different way. Once I'd swapped the armrests over, popped the batteries in, and calibrated them, I wasn't really sure how useful they would be, but very quickly, they became pretty handy.
I use both the Magnus Pro standing desk and the Titan Evo McLaren Edition for my gaming/work set-up at home, and I find myself standing up for almost as much time as I'm sitting down in a normal working day. So, with the desk moving up and down, and the chair moving around the room for a lot of the day, when it comes to sitting down in my normal seated position, it can take a bit of time to get truly comfortable again, ergonomically.
But the InfinitePrecision Armrest has allowed me to really nail down my optimum seating position and know the exact height at which my armrests need to be, so that I'm at my most comfortable, ergonomically. So now, when I lower my desk into a seating position and need to get back on my chair, I know exactly how high, by the millimetre, I need to adjust my armrests to get back into that perfect position. I can put a number on comfort!
I haven't spent enough time with the InfinitePrecision Armrest to conduct a full review yet, so more testing is needed to assess its long-term performance and durability. And, of course, a lot depends on the price, which Secretlab has yet to confirm. But if you are interested, go to secretlab.co/oss-collection, and pricing will be revealed at a later date.
What is clear, though, from the short time I've had with it, is that this isn't a product that everyone needs. But if you're someone who often travels to different locations (with your Secretlab chair) to work or play, or you're someone who takes ergonomics very seriously, the InfinitePrecision Armrest could be genuinely useful, even if you're not a professional esports player.
