
ENGW vs BANW Playing 11: Nat Sciver-Brunt-led England Women will square off against Nigar Sultana-led Bangladesh in the 8th match of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 on October 07 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.
Both Bangladesh and England Women had a solid start in the ongoing Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. Bangladesh secured a 7-wicket victory against Pakistan, while England secured a 10-wicket victory against South Africa Women.
Bangladesh and England women have met only once in the ODI format, where England Women secured a win.
England Women and Bangladesh Women has secured third and fourth spots in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 Points table.
England Women won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss ceremony, England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt said, “We’ll bowl first. We’ve had a lot of success, we’re pretty confident after that, but we’ll have to start fresh today.”
“We rested well and are well prepared for today’s game, just making sure we practice as well as possible. She did, she was excellent with the new ball in the T20 side, no changes for us,” concluded Brunt.
Meanwhile Nigar Sultana said, “We wanted to bat first. That win was good confidence, do well moving forward and play our A game today.”
“We wanted the batting unit to click, looking forward to doing the same today as well. To see the young players coming up and doing well is good to see. That gives us a lot of positives – two changes for us,” concluded Nigar Sultana.
