Autumn is a season that calls for creative layering, fun textures and cosy knits. Marks and Spencer is a great place to look for pieces, with one jacket in particular catching our eye.
This £46 knitted jacket is comfy enough to be a cardigan, but sturdy enough to be a light jacket, making it a bit of a hybrid of the two, according to the Mirror.
It's made from a soft "cloud yarn", a polyester blend, and has a ribbed finish. In terms of design, it has double-breasted button closure and pocket detailing, as well as a wide collar. It comes in a cream and fawn shade, and is available in sizes extra small to extra large.
This piece combines classic and modern styling, making it both trendy and versatile, suitable for various occasions. It could pair well with blue jeans for a casual weekend look, or with black trousers and smart shoes for office wear.
M&S shoppers are praising the jacket. One wrote: "I totally love this item. The design is different, which appeals very much to me. It will be a very versatile addition to my wardrobe... I have already had two people ask me when I got it from as they said it looked very classy which it does."
Another shopper said it was a "lovely jacket" that was "very stylish, soft and comfortable."

One shopper, who bought a size XS, commented on the fit, saying: "Style is lovely and fits well despite me being petite and small." She added the jacket "seems true to size".
One detail that might be a dealbreaker for some shoppers is that the jacket is made from synthetic materials instead of natural fibres. "I'd rather it was made from cotton or bamboo and that I paid a bit more for this, so that it lasts well," wrote one shopper.
But another said it's "really warm" and "can be worn as an outside jacket when the weather is dry".
