Why are Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi silent on the attack on the CJI?: MP Tanuj Punia

Honorable Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice B. R. Shameful attempt to throw shoes on Gawai: Tanuj Punia

Patna: Lok Sabha MP Tanuj Poonia, while addressing a press conference at the Patna State Congress headquarters today, said that the creator of the Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had given us the power of the pen, today when a Dalit is using that power to sit on the highest judicial chair of the country, then he is threatening us with his shoes. People inspired by the RSS-BJP mentality are continuously spewing venom against the Chief Justice.
We strongly condemn this.
“This shoe has been thrown on the constitutional identity of India, on the ideals of Baba Saheb,
And the self-respect of the Dalits of the country has been hit.”
It is shameful that leaders like Nitish Kumar, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Chirag Paswan, who entered politics with the votes of Dalits, are silent today when the supreme representative of a Dalit and deprived society is being insulted. Their silence is not a sign of political but moral bankruptcy.

Poverty attacks Dalits in Bihar, corruption is immense
The castwise socio-economic report released by the JDU government on 7 November 2023 revealed the truth of Bihar.
The report revealed that 94.42 lakh families in Bihar – that is, every third family – are living on Rs 200 per day or less.

1. Out of a total of 2.76 crore families, 64% of the population has been pushed into the deep abyss of poverty and deprivation.
2. Among the Scheduled Castes, Musahar (54.5%), Bhuiyan (53.5%), and Dom (53.1%) castes are the poorest.
3. Among the Scheduled Tribes, Birhor (78%), Chero (59.6%), Sauriya Paharia (56.5%), and Banjara (55.6%) are in poverty.
This simply means that the resources of Bihar did not reach the Dalits and the poor, but instead disappeared due to corruption and plunder of power.
Attack on reservation of Dalits, sword of privatization

The Modi government has attacked the constitutional reservation rights of Dalits, backward classes and tribals through the sale of public sector undertakings.

Tanuj Punia said
“When public sectors are being sold by the central government,
Then it is clear that there will be no reservation in the private sector.
This is a direct attack on the backbone of social justice.”

There are a total of 10.31 lakh employees in Central Public Sector Enterprises,
In which SC – 1.81 lakh, ST – 1.02 lakh and OBC – 1.97 lakh,
That means a total of 4.8 lakh reserved posts will be abolished after privatization.
Attack on farming of Dalits, income is declining
19 lakh 15 thousand Dalit families do farming in Bihar.
Who are almost all small and marginal farmers.
NSS report no. According to 587,
Their average monthly income has come down to ₹7542 – i.e. ₹50 per person per day.
Due to absence of APMC Mandi law in the state
These farmers do not even get the minimum support price for their produce.
As a result, Dalit farmers are the most victims of exploitation.
Suppressed crime against Dalits, robbed them of peace and tranquility
The NCRB 2023 report states that
Bihar ranks second in the country in cases of atrocities on Dalits – Uttar Pradesh is in the first place.
In the year 2023, 7221 cases of Dalit oppression were registered.
This is not only a failure of law and order,
Rather it shows that Dalits are unsafe and neglected in Bihar.
Tanuj Punia’s question:
“Are Dalit votes just a stepping stone to power?
Why do you hold your tongue when Dalits are attacked?”
The Congress Party will continue the struggle for the country’s Constitution, social justice and equal opportunity.
We pledge to fulfill the dream of Rahul Gandhi ji and give their rights to the Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward tribals and exploited people.

State Congress media department chairman Rajesh Rathod, spokesperson Dr. Snehashish Vardhan Pandey, Gyan Ranjan along with Nadeem Akhtar Ansari, Nikhil Kumar were present in the press conference.
