2025 has seen many films become box office sensations but some have also flopped badly. Interestingly a flop film is currently making waves on OTT platforms. Upon its digital release it even made it to the top of the trending list. That film is called Dhadak 2. Cast and Setting Set in Bhopal Madhya Pradesh the story of Dhadak 2 tackles the sensitive social issue of caste-based discrimination. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri star in the lead roles. Zakir Hussain Saurabh Sachdeva Deeksha Joshi and Nitin Sharma also star. The film begins with the meeting of Nilesh and Vidhi who are studying at a law college. Gradually love blossoms between them. However caste differences social stereotypes and Vidhis familys views stand in their way. After a while the story shifts from romantic to tragic. Its an emotional romantic drama that confronts societal stereotypes and also encourages reflection. However upon release Dhadak 2 didnt perform well at the box office. Box Office Performance and OTT Success The movie received mixed reviews from critics which is why it barely recovered half of its budget. But now the same movie is making waves on OTT platforms. Dhadak 2 was recently released on Netflix and has already topped the trending list. Currently Dhadak 2 is trending at number four on Netflixs Top 10 list. Kantara is at number one followed by Son of Sardaar 2 at number two and Narasimha Mahavatar at number three. At number five is the romantic drama Saiyaara. Budget and Box Office Verdict The film cost Rs 60 crore (approximately 7.5 million). According to a report by the trade website Sacnilk the film grossed Rs 29 crore in India with a total worldwide gross of Rs 31.5 crore. The films box office verdict is a flop. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s film Dhadak 2 is directed and written by Sajia Iqbal. The film has a 6.8 rating on IMDb and is available to watch on Netflix.
