Karnataka menstrual leave: The Karnataka government has approved one day paid period leave every month for all working women. This paid leave will not only be for government employees but will also be applicable for women employees working in sectors like private companies, IT firms, MNCs.

The Karnataka government has taken a big decision to promote equality and promotion of women in the work field. The state government cabinet has approved the Menstrual Leave Policy 2025. Under this policy, women working in every work sector will be given one day paid leave during their periods. This policy has now been officially implemented in the state of Karnataka.

‘Promoting women in the workplace‘

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah says that our government is continuously active for respect and welfare in every work area. Under the Menstrual Leave Policy 2025, women across the state will be given the facility of one day paid leave in a month. This is a humane and sensible step.

According to the information, the Labor Minister of Karnataka put forward this proposal in the cabinet. He said that this bill will be the first such law in the country, which has been made keeping in mind the health of women and their rights at the workplace.

Proposal to give 6 paid period leaves

Let us tell you that the Karnataka government had proposed to give 6 paid period leaves every year to women in the year 2024, which has now been decided to be increased to 1 every month i.e. 12 paid leaves in a year.
