
Two Nagar Kirtans will be organized from Malwa region: Bains
Education Minister announced guard of honor for city kirtan, assured of smooth arrangements
Harjot Bains, Harbhajan ETO, Tarunpreet Saund and Deepak Bali reviewed the events, road projects and logistics arrangements in Faridkot, Ferozepur, Moga, Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib.

Punjab News: In connection with the preparations for the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib Ji across Punjab, Punjab Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains along with his cabinet colleagues held detailed review meetings with the officials of Faridkot, Firozpur, Moga, Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib districts. In these meetings, the safe and smooth management of Nagar Kirtan to be organized from Faridkot in Malwa was discussed. Speaking to the media after the meeting with Faridkot district officials, Harjot Singh Bains, Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, Cultural and Tourism Minister Tarunpreet Saund and department advisor Deepak Bali said that two city kirtans will be organized from Malwa region. The first Nagar Kirtan will start from Faridkot and cover Firozpur, Moga, Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib, while the second Takht will start from Sri Damdama Sahib, passing through the main districts and reach Sri Anandpur Sahib on the evening of 22nd November.

Harjot Singh Bains announced that guard of honor will be given to Nagar Kirtan in all the districts. He said that from November 1 to 18, light and sound shows dedicated to the life of the 9th Patshah and his followers Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Diyala Ji will be organized in all 23 districts of Punjab. Apart from this, Kirtan Darbars will be organized at 130 holy places receiving ‘Charan Chhoh’ of Guru Sahib. Minister Bains said that this historic day will be celebrated on a large scale to pay tribute to the martyrdom of Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib Ji under the ‘Hind Ki Chadar’ program of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. “We are closely reviewing all the arrangements including development projects, road- works and logistics support to ensure seamless conduct of these events. For this, we are coordinating with deputy commissioners, local MLAs and prominent religious leaders,” he said.
Bains said that the main religious ceremonies dedicated to the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Sahib will be held at Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25, in which more than 1 crore Sangats are expected from all over the world. A tent city will be set up in “Chakka Nanaki” for the coming Sangats, in which arrangements will be made to accommodate more than 11,000 Sangats daily from 19th to 30th November. Appealing to the people to participate in the historic events, S Harjot Singh Bains said that the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib Ji will inspire people to uphold the values of secularism, compassion and humanism. The martyrdom of Guru Sahib always gives a message to everyone to remain firm towards religion while respecting the sacred beliefs. Meanwhile, the Cabinet Ministers also directed the Moga district administration to upgrade the service lanes of the National Highway and ensure smooth operation of traffic lights by October 31.
