A spokesperson told the publication that the family needs privacy during this tough time. Although no immediate details were shared initially sources later stated that her health had ‘suddenly deteriorated’ in her final months. Diane Keaton cause of death The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to the publication that they responded to Keatons home at 8:08 a.m. local time and soon transported the Hollywood star to a hospital for further treatment. Though no official information on the reason for Keatons death has been revealed so far a purported friend of hers told PEOPLE that in recent months the actress’s health had deteriorated suddenly. “She declined very suddenly which was heartbreaking for everyone who loved her. It was so unexpected especially for someone with such strength and spirit.” “In her final months she was surrounded only by her closest family who chose to keep things very private. Even longtime friends weren’t fully aware of what was happening” they added. Notably the actor had previously struggled with bulimia and later spoke openly about her health challenges.
