‘Suran’ vegetable is a panacea for these 7 diseases!

Health Desk. An often overlooked vegetable in Indian kitchens, ‘Suran’ (also known as Jimikand), is a superfood with medicinal properties according to Ayurvedic medicine. Its consumption not only enhances the taste but also helps in eliminating many serious diseases. According to experts, fiber, iron, potassium, vitamin C and antioxidants are found in abundance in Suran.

1. Helpful in preventing piles

Suran vegetable is considered extremely beneficial for chronic piles (bloody and badi). The natural fiber present in it softens the stool and helps in cleaning the intestines. In Ayurveda it has been called “Arshahar” i.e. destroyer of piles.
