Hollywood icon Diane Keaton leaves behind a whopping fortune that will be left to two people after her sudden death. The Godfather star was 79 when she died after her health took a sharp turn, with a family spokesperson confirming the sad news on Saturday (October 11).

But after decades making a living in acting, Diane had built up a huge fortune. She also loved to renovate homes, flipping multi-million dollar mansions and selling them to her celebrity pals. One 100-year-old mansion originally purchased in 2007 for $8.1million was turned into the perfect home for American Horror Story producer Ryan Murphy, who bought it for $10million three years later.

She also sold a home in Bel Air for $16.5million in 2005, and a Laguna Beach property in 2004 for $12.75million.

Diane even released a design book, The House that Pinterest Built, in 2017 to inspire others with style guides and renovation ideas.

Her own home in Los Angeles was put on the market in March 2025 for $29million. Overall, her net worth was estimated to be around $100million.

It is likely Diane's fortune will go to her two children - daughter Dexter and son Duke. The Annie Hall star never married despite high-profile romances with Al Pacino and Woody Allen.

In her 50s, she decided to adopt her two kids, telling the Ladies' Home Journal: "I didn't think that I was ever going to be prepared to be a mother. Motherhood was not an urge I couldn't resist. It was more like a thought I'd been thinking for a very long time. So I plunged in."

She added in 2007: "They have no interest in what I do, which I think is very healthy. We live a relatively normal - well, sort of normal - life."
