
New Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is set to return to domestic cricket. He has been included in Goas Ranji Trophy squad for the 2025/26 season. He hasn’t played any domestic matches since December 2024. He was with the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2025 IPL but didn’t get a chance to play. Now he is fully prepared for his first senior match. Past Performances and Cricket Journey Arjun played his last first-class match for Goa in November 2024 against Arunachal Pradesh. His last List A match was in December 2024. He also played three T20 matches for Goa in the 2024/25 season. He moved from Mumbai to Goa before the 2022/23 season and has since represented Goa in all three formats. The 26-year-old has so far taken 37 wickets and scored 532 runs in 17 first-class matches. He started his Ranji career with a century against Rajasthan which was a memorable moment for him. Arjun’s Performance in Numbers Arjun has 25 wickets in List A cricket and 27 wickets in T20 cricket. He has played five IPL matches for Mumbai Indians so far. Arjun has been part of the MI team since 2021 although he remained on the bench during the 2021 2022 and 2025 seasons. Recognized for his all-round skills Arjun could play a key role for Goa this season. Goa’s Ranji Trophy Campaign and New Combination Goa which won the Plate Group last season has now joined the Elite Group. The team will play its first match against Chandigarh on October 15. After that they will face Karnataka Punjab Madhya Pradesh Saurashtra Maharashtra and Kerala. The team will be led by Deepraj Gaonkar while Lalit Yadav has been named vice-captain. Lalit has previously played for Delhi and Delhi Capitals (IPL).
