Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap has once again expressed his discontent with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, continuing a public feud that has been ongoing for years. This comes after Salman indirectly addressed Abhinav during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19. In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Kashyap responded sharply, blending sarcasm and pointed criticism.

In the promo released by the media portal, Abhinav began his statement by singing a few lines from Salman’s hit film Tere Naam. He highlighted what he called a “hypothetical situation” in which Salman might harm him, emphasizing that his comments are an honest reflection of his feelings rather than a personal attack. Kashyap claimed that while Salman himself may not be bothered by his statements, the actor’s fans appear to take offense.

Criticism Over Professional and Personal Conduct

Abhinav took the opportunity to question Salman’s choices and conduct in the industry. He accused the actor of taking undue credit for the success of Dabangg, a film directed by Kashyap that became a blockbuster in 2010. Kashyap also alleged that Salman made working conditions difficult on Tere Naam for his brother and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

The director referred to Salman as a “chapri,” a slang term implying tackiness, while critiquing his upcoming role in Battle of Galwan, questioning why someone with a controversial reputation would portray a high-ranking soldier. Kashyap described his ongoing statements as the result of “poison” he had carried for years, suggesting that he is expressing the frustration and resentment he has endured.

Salman Khan’s Indirect Response

During the recent episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman addressed the situation without mentioning Abhinav by name. He urged individuals to focus on their own lives rather than attacking others, highlighting the importance of family and personal responsibility. Salman encouraged the filmmaker to focus on his writing and creative work, expressing that he wanted to see Abhinav grow instead of going down a destructive path.

The tension between Salman Khan and Abhinav Kashyap dates back to their collaboration on Dabangg, which launched Salman’s career to new heights. Over the years, Abhinav has repeatedly voiced grievances regarding credit, professional conduct, and personal disputes, which have kept the feud in public attention.

On the work front, Salman was last seen in Atlee’s Sikandar and is set to appear in Battle of Galwan, while Abhinav’s most recent project was serving as a creative consultant for Nikita Roy.
