Vivo’s performance-driven sub-brand iQOO has been ramping up the hype for its flagship iQOO 15, which has been confirmed to launch in India soon after its launch in China on October 20. The teasers are highlighting a gaming-centric smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, positioning it as a direct rival to the OnePlus 13 and Realme GT 8 Pro in the sub-₹70,000 price segment.

Its arrival in India is expected to take place in mid-to-late November – possibly between November 15-25 – taking advantage of festive sales like Flipkart’s Big Billion Days. The base 12GB RAM/256GB variant is priced at ₹59,999 (going up to ₹69,990 for higher configurations), which is competitive. This marks an upgrade over the iQOO 13’s ₹54,999 starting model, leaving rivals behind as well. iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya teased the X, saying: “Not just a flagship. Flagship.”

Expected Specifications:

Display: 6.8-inch LTPO 2K AMOLED panel featuring a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, AR anti-glare coating, and Polar-Lace technology for easy reading in sunlight—ideal for immersive gaming.

Performance: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC comes with Q3 gaming chip for great frame rates in BGMI/PUBG. Up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage ensure lag-free multitasking.

Battery and Charging: The massive 7,000mAh cell with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging—a first for iQOO—promises all-day battery life. The 8K vapor chamber cooling system maintains maximum performance during marathon sessions.

Camera: Triple 50MP rear array: primary (1/1.5-inch sensor), periscope telephoto (3x-5x optical zoom), and ultra-wide. Front: 32MP selfie snapper. Expect AI enhancements for better low-light performance.

Design and Durability: Marble-textured back in Lingyun White/Black, metallic frame with RGB accents, flat edges and thin bezels. IP68/IP69 dust-water resistance, 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint and USB 3.2 speeds. Runs Origin OS 6 on Android 16 for AI-powered customization.

This variation of the iQOO 13 improves battery life and zoom, targeting gamers and creators. As the leaks are getting stronger, it is expected to be revealed after the event in China – iQOO 15 could redefine value flagship this Diwali.
