The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board has released an official notification for the recruitment of Medical Technologist positions. This recruitment will fill a total of 196 positions in government hospitals and health centers across the state. The application process has begun, and candidates can apply online until November 28, 2025.
Candidates must have passed the 12th grade from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as subjects. Additionally, candidates with a two-year diploma in a relevant field or equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply. Candidates must also meet other eligibility criteria set by the board.
To apply, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and at most 39 years of age. However, age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories. SC and ST candidates will be given a 5-year age relaxation, and OBC candidates will be given a 3-year relaxation.
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹28,900, along with other allowances and benefits as per state government regulations.
The application fee is ₹210, which candidates must pay online. It is important to note that the fee is non-refundable once submitted.
There will be no written examination in the selection process. Candidates will be selected solely on the basis of their academic qualifications, work experience, and interview. The higher the marks and experience a candidate possesses, the greater their chances of selection. The selection process will be transparent and merit-based.
The application process is also very simple. Candidates must first visit the official website of the West Bengal Health Recruitment Board, www.hrb.wb.gov.in. Click on the "Apply Online for Medical Technologist 2025" link provided there. Then, fill in your personal and educational information, upload the required documents, and a passport-size photo. Then, pay the prescribed application fee and take a printout of the form after submitting it.
