An ACC source told PTI, 'BCCI Secretary, BCCI's ACC representative Rajeev Shukla and representatives of other member boards including Sri Lanka Cricket and Afghanistan had written an e-mail to the ACC President last week regarding handing over the trophy to India.' According to the report, Mohsin bluntly said that BCCI officials should take the trophy from Dubai. BCCI has made its stand clear that it will not accept the trophy from them. Therefore, there is every possibility that a decision on this matter will be taken in the ICC meeting.

Now Jai Shah will decide

If this matter is raised before the ICC, then PCB and ACC Chief Naqvi may face huge embarrassment. The Chief of ICC is Jai Shah, who was also the Secretary of BCCI before this. Obviously BCCI has the upper hand here. Anyway, this is happening for the first time in history when the president of an association is not giving the trophy to the winning team.
