Bhai Duj 2025: Sitaphal Basundi is a very tasty and nutritious sweet, which is especially liked by people during festivals and special occasions. This traditional sweet is a little different and special, because the sweetness and flavor of custard apple (custard apple) mingles with the creamy consistency of milk and gives an excellent taste.

On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, you must make and feed this to your brothers, your brothers will never get tired of praising you. Here you are being told an easy recipe of Sitaphal Basundi, following which you must try it.

Material

• Full fat milk – 1 liter
• Custard Apple – 2-3 (ripe, pulp removed)
• Sugar – 4-5 tbsp
• Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
• Saffron threads – a few
• Chopped dry fruits – almonds, pistachios (for garnish)

Method

1-First of all, boil full fat milk in a heavy bottomed vessel on medium flame. Keep stirring the milk continuously so that it does not burn from the bottom.

2- Boil the milk until it reduces to half and becomes thick. Now add sugar and cardamom powder to it.

3-If you want, you can also add some saffron threads for taste and color. Cook for a few more minutes so that the sweetness gets mixed well in the milk.

4-Now turn off the gas and let the milk cool completely.

When the milk cools down, add well mashed custard apple pulp in it. Keep in mind that adding custard apple while the milk is hot can spoil the taste of the sweet. 5- Keep the prepared Basundi in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours. While serving, add chopped almonds and pistachios on top and serve chilled.

6-Always take ripe and sweet custard apple. Remove the seeds thoroughly, otherwise the enjoyment of eating may get spoiled. You can also add some mawa (khoya) to Basundi for more creamy texture.
