WWE SmackDown Highlights: This week’s episode of SmackDown took place at the Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona, on October 25, 2025. On this episode of SmackDown, we saw the continuation of the build towards the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will take place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. This event will be streamed live in India via Netflix on November 2, 2025.

On this episode of SmackDown, we saw many great matches and many shocking moments. It was already announced that on this show, we will see the new United States Champion, Ilja Dragunov, continuing Sami Zayn’s tradition of open challenges. In this episode, we also saw a tag team match between Tama Tonga and JC Mateo and Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Fenix. The main event of this show was a no-disqualification match between Drew McIntyre and Jimmy Uso.

Cody Rhodes starts the Show

It was already announced that Drew McIntyre will face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cody Rhodes kicked off this week’s show and addressed his upcoming match with McIntyre. As Rhodes was talking about how he attacked McIntyre last week, McIntyre came out and interrupted Rhodes. McIntyre said that, as much as he hates their family, he did not attack Jacob Fatu. As McIntyre was talking, Jimmy Uso came out and attacked McIntyre, and it was later confirmed that the main event of this show will be Drew McIntyre vs Jimmy Uso.

Tama Tonga and JC Mateo vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Fenix

In a Tag team match, the members of MFT, Tama Tonga and JC Mateo, faced the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Fenix. This match went on for 15+ minutes, and at the end of the match, Solo Sikoa distracted the referee, which allowed Talla Tonga to attack Rey Fenix, and after that, Tama Tonga took advantage and delivered Cut Throat to Rey Fenix and secured the win for his team via pinfall.

Kiana James vs Tiffany Stratton

As it was confirmed last week, the WWE Women’s Champion, Tiffany Stratton, will face Kiana James on this week’s episode of SmackDown. This match went on for 15+ minutes, and at the end of the match, Stratton delivered her Prettiest Moon Sault to Kiana James and secured the win via pinfall. After the match, Kiana’s partner, Giulia, attacked Stratton, and as they were attacking Stratton, we saw Jade Cargill coming out to save Tiffany Stratton.

However, after saving Stratton, in a shocking moment, Cargill turned heel and brutally attacked the Women’s Champion, Tiffany Stratton. Later in the show, it was confirmed that Jade Cargill will officially face Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

United States Championship Open Challenge

In a backstage segment, Sami Zayn said that he is proud that Ilja Dragunov was the one to beat him for the U.S Championship, but now he has to carry the legacy of the open challenges. Later in the show, Dragunov came out and called out the locker room for an open challenge, and it was answered by Aliester Black.

This match went on for 20+ minutes, and it was one of the best matches of the entire night. This match received multiple “This is Awesome” chants from the WWE Universe. At the end of the match, Damien Priest came out and distracted Aliester Black, which allowed Dragunov to deliver Torpedo Moscow to Black, and with that, he retained the title via pinfall.

Jimmy Uso vs Drew McIntyre

After Jimmy Uso attacked Drew McIntyre at the start of the show, it was announced that Jimmy Uso would face Drew McIntyre in a no-disqualification match in the main event of this SmackDown. This match went on 15+ minutes, and during this match, we saw the use of tables and steel chairs. At the end of the match, McIntyre delivered his Claymore kick to Jimmy Uso and secured the win via pinfall.

After the match, McIntyre attacked Jimmy Uso with a steel chair, shouting, “I did not attack Jacob”, as he was attacking Jimmy, Cody Rhodes came out and saved Jimmy Uso. But as Rhodes was helping Jimmy Uso, McIntyre delivered another Claymore to Rhodes, and this show went off the air with Drew McIntyre standing tall over everybody.
