Materials:

  • potato
  • Kiss of wet coconut
  • Coriander
  • Turmeric
  • Asafoetida
  • salt
  • Red chillies
  • Black pepper powder

Action:

  • To make sour potatoes, first, wash and peel the potatoes. Then cut into medium sized pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves and mix. Then add finely chopped potato and mix it.
  • Add wet coconut pulp, coriander, green chillies, red chillies and turmeric to a fine paste in a mixer bowl. Add water if required while dividing.
  • After the potatoes are cooked, add the tamarind paste and mix well. Then add red chillies and prepared allotment and mix well.
  • After the potato is cooked, finally add salt and black pepper powder as per taste and mix well.
  • Ready Saraswat style sour potato made in easy way. This dish is quick to prepare with minimal ingredients.
