According to The Starthe couple shared the news on social media, posting photos of Wong with both of his daughters.
Earlier this month, the family of four appeared on Hong Kong broadcaster RTHK’s radio program “Those Were the Days.” Host Candy Chea asked if Chan had broken the record for the oldest mother to give birth in Hong Kong. Wong clarified that his wife tied a long-standing record previously set at Tuen Mun Hospital.
Addressing public skepticism about having a child at 58, Wong said on the program: “They may not have been understanding initially, but they’ve gradually become supportive of us after seeing the hard work we put in.”
The couple first made headlines in May when Wong announced Chan’s pregnancy on social media. They then revealed that they consulted fertility experts in Taiwan and underwent two rounds of in-vitro fertilization in 2024. Chan received bi-monthly injections in Shenzhen, China, to support the fetus’s development until a month before delivery.
According to the South China Morning PostWong and Chan said they decided to have a second child because their elder daughter, born in 2019 when Chan was 52, wanted a sibling for companionship.
Wong, 58, is known for his roles in TVB dramas such as “Witness to a Prosecution” and “Heart of Greed.”
