Chhathi Maiya Puja Prayer Rules: Chhath puja is going on. Sunday was the second day of Chhath Puja. Had to eat yesterday. After Kharna puja, the devotees took Prasad. With this his 36-hour waterless fast started. Today is the day of Evening Arghya, in which Arghya will be offered to the setting sun. Tomorrow the fast will be broken by offering Arghya to the rising sun. After this Chhath Puja will be completed.
By keeping a waterless fast for 36 hours, the devotees pray to Sun God and Chhathi Maiya for the happiness and prosperity of the family, but sometimes the fast is broken due to health, weakness or any other reason. In such a situation, this question comes in people's mind that will Chhathi Maiya get angry? In such a situation, let us know that if due to some reason the Nirjala fast is broken, then how should atonement be done as per the rules of puja, so that no one is blamed.
36 hours of rigorous fasting without water
In this difficult 36-hour fast, the mind, body and soul are heated so that all three become pure, but if the fast is not completed due to some compulsion, illness or weakness, then there is no need to worry and panic about it. If the fast is not completed and remains incomplete then one should seek forgiveness from Chhath Maiya. After apologizing, the resolution of fasting can be taken again. For this, some rules have been mentioned in the scriptures.
This is how to atone for breaking your fast
It is mentioned in the scriptures that in case of breaking the Nirjala fast, atonement should be done. First of all one should take bath. After this, a lamp should be lit in front of Chhathi Maiya with a calm mind. Should pray for forgiveness. You should say in your mind, “Oh sixth mother, I have committed a mistake unknowingly, please forgive me.” After this, donation can also be made after taking advice from the Pandit. Chhathi Maiya is considered a mother figure. Mother is never angry with her children. Chhathi Maiya fulfills all the wishes of her devotees.
