PM Kisan Yojana 2025 Update: Farmers Await 21st Installment in November
Good news for millions of farmers across India! Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, the 21st installment of financial aid is expected to be released in the first half of November 2025. While the central government has not officially confirmed the exact date, reports suggest that the amount could be credited to beneficiaries’ accounts soon — bringing relief and joy to the farming community ahead of the Rabi season.
What Is PM-KISAN and Why It Matters
The PM-Kisan Yojana was launched by the Government of India to provide financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers. This amount is distributed in three equal installments every four months to support agricultural expenses and daily needs. So far, 20 installments have been successfully released, benefitting over 9.8 crore farmers, including around 2.4 crore women farmers across the country.
The last installment (20th) was released in August 2025 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and now beneficiaries are eagerly awaiting the next one.
When Will the 21st Installment Be Released?
As per government sources and media reports, the 21st installment is expected to be transferred in the first week or by mid-November 2025. The PM-Kisan scheme typically disburses payments in February, June, and October-November, so this timeline aligns with the usual cycle.
However, since official confirmation from the government is still awaited, beneficiaries are advised to keep an eye on the PM-Kisan official website (pmkisan.gov.in) for updates.
Will the Election Code Affect Payments?
Currently, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in effect due to elections in Bihar, which has raised questions among farmers regarding the release of funds.
Experts clarify that while the government cannot announce new schemes during the MCC period, it can continue disbursing funds for pre-approved programs like PM-Kisan. Hence, there is no restriction on the release of the 21st installment, and farmers can expect the payment as scheduled.
Complete Your e-KYC to Receive the Payment
One crucial step for farmers is completing the e-KYC (Know Your Customer) process. Without e-KYC, the installment may not be credited.
Farmers can verify and complete e-KYC through two methods:
-
OTP-based KYC: Log in to pmkisan.gov.in using your registered mobile number and complete OTP verification.
-
Biometric KYC: Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) and get your biometric verification done.
How to Check PM-Kisan Installment Status Online
Farmers can easily check whether their installment has been credited by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official PM-Kisan website — https://pmkisan.gov.in
Step 2: Click on “Know Your Status” on the right-hand side.
Step 3: Enter your registration number and captcha code, then click on “Get Data.”
Your payment status, including installment number, date, and bank details, will appear on the screen.

With crores of farmers depending on this support, the next few days are crucial as the government finalizes the official release date — a step that will once again empower the nation’s backbone, its farmers.
