Jadon Sancho has been told to go back to Borussia Dortmund in a bid to salvage his career.
Sancho has become one of the forgotten men of football in recent times. The England international left Manchester United to join Chelsea on-loan last season, but failed to make the move permanent. He joined Aston Villa on-loan in the summer transfer window, but has not started a game yet. And he suffered the ultimate humiliation in last weekend's win over Manchester City, when he was sent on as a first half substitute, but hauled off again after the break.
Sancho had a successful return to Dortmund in 2024, when he rejoined them on-loan from United and helped the Germans reach the Champions League final. And Emile Heskey reckons Sancho should consider doing the same again, if he wants to get his career back on track.

Sancho's United deal will come to an end in June, when he will leave Old Trafford on a free transfer. The former England and Liverpool striker told 10bet: "Jadon has a great rapport with Dortmund in the Bundesliga, so that is an avenue he could go down.
"When he went back on loan there, he was in the Champions League final. So it's possible, and you would think he could always go back there, especially on a free transfer."
Sancho has also been linked with a number of Italian clubs, but Heskey has warned the winger his attitude would have to be right if he chose to go to Serie A.
He added: "I'm guessing Italy might work for him, but the only thing there is you have to make sure your mindset is right, that you’re ready to work hard.
"It's no joke there. It might be a rude awakening for him in Serie A. It might be what it takes to get him to knuckle down. To get back to his best."
