TV host Eshal Adnan has recently revealed shocking details about her early career, accusing renowned host and columnist Aftab Iqbal of sexual harassment and firing her from a show after she rejected his advances. In a candid appearance on a podcast, Eshal discussed the challenges she faced when she started her career and the inappropriate incident that led to her being removed from a popular television show.

Eshal shared that she was hired as a co-host for a program on Express TV, where Aftab Iqbal was the lead anchor. She explained that she was brought in after another woman had dropped out, and promotional materials, including banners and teasers, were already released. However, just three days into the job, she experienced what she described as an “inappropriate offer” from Aftab Iqbal.

According to Eshal, when she firmly rejected his advances, Aftab became angry and allegedly threatened to remove her from the show. She recounted telling him that, as a junior host, she greatly respected him and that such behavior was unbecoming of a senior anchor. Despite her refusal, she claimed that Iqbal went ahead and had her removed from the program, leaving her without her co-host position.

Following the incident, Eshal emailed the TV channel’s Human Resources department to file a formal complaint. The channel’s owner reportedly took note of her complaint, praising her bravery. However, since Aftab Iqbal was considered a key business asset, the channel decided not to terminate him, though they assured Eshal that she would not face any retaliation for speaking out.

Eshal, who now holds a positive view of Aftab Iqbal’s growth as a person, acknowledged that he has since learned from his mistakes. She also mentioned that he had once attempted to contact her after the controversy, but she refused to engage with him.

Eshal’s revelation adds to a growing list of allegations against Aftab Iqbal, including accusations of inappropriate behavior from other women in the industry.
