UP Police Encounter Doctor Statement Controversy: After the statement of a government doctor in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, there is an earthquake in the entire police department. The Medical Superintendent of a Community Health Center (CHC) here made a sensational allegation on the police of conducting a ‘fake encounter’ and manipulating the post-mortem report. He said that the police brings 20 bullets and puts pressure on us to write only one bullet. This video spread like wildfire on social media, causing panic in the entire administrative department.

Actually, this whole matter started when recently Rs 5.5 lakh was stolen from the camp office of Medical Superintendent Dr. Deepak Kumar. Health workers protested against the police last Wednesday when the theft was not revealed. Meanwhile, amid the uproar in the city police station, Dr. Deepak became so angry that he made serious allegations against the police encounters. However, as soon as there was an uproar over the statement, the doctor retracted his words and called it fake.

‘We will open their entire accounts, get an investigation done’

In a viral statement captured on camera on social media, Dr. Kumar claimed, “The police themselves bring the accused after firing 20 bullets, but the CO and SP themselves stand by and force us to write only one bullet in the record.” Challenging the police, he even said, “We will open their letters, get the investigation done by the Human Rights Commission.” After this statement of the doctor, the entire police department was shaken and its video also quickly went viral on social media.

Doctor’s clarification ‘mental stress’ and police’s response

As soon as the statement went viral, Dr. Kumar released a new video and distanced himself from his words. He said, “This video is fake. Someone has made a video of me unknowingly.” Citing his liver, heart and mental stress, he said that someone ‘unknowingly made him do something’, which he denies. He also said that he was not involved in the post-mortem of any encounter of 2025.

At the same time, Shamli police also issued a press note on this matter and exposed their claims. Police clarified that Dr. Deepak Choudhary (Kumar) has not been included in the postmortem panel of any police encounter that took place in the year 2025, hence his allegations are not based on verifiable facts. Police said that an FIR was registered in the theft case on October 21. The three suspects named by Dr. Chaudhary, Nishu, Saurabh and Salman, were interrogated, but their involvement has not been confirmed. Police said that several teams including Kairana, Jhinjhana, Kotwali, SWAT and surveillance have been formed under the leadership of CO Nagar to unravel the incident and assured arrests soon.
