Stranger Things fans are going wild after Netflix dropped a new trailer for the grand finale, unveiling a huge development for Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown).

The trailer, which is just shy of three minutes, generated thousands of views just minutes after it dropped, with fans claiming they are "not ready" for the series to end.

The video shows some of the highlights from the high-stakes battle between the gang and Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), as other dark entities do his bidding.

One moment from the trailer shows Eleven flying for the first time, as she attempts to get inside a building surrounded by a tall metal gate.

Taking to the comments, one fan shared: "Eleven finally flies after 4 seasons!!!"

Another echoed: "Eleven fly?!" While a third observed: "EL CAN FLY NOW"

Set to the track Who Wants to Live Forever by Queen, the emotional video marks the end of an era.

The final moments of the trailer show Vecna coming out of hiding as he says in a chilling voice: "William, you are going to help me, one last time."

Will Byers (Noah Shnapp) is then seen suspended in the air as Vecna takes control of the helpless character.

Fans have expressed their excitement as the gang were seen vowing to "find Vecna and end this once and for all".

One viewer said: "Ahh im crying, I don't wanna say goodbye."

Another shared: "Honestly this is looking to be the most epic season ever with Eleven having all those powers."

Stranger Things 5 will release on Netflix across three premiere dates with Volume 1 on November 27 for fans in the UK. US fans will have access from November 26.
