UP Home Guard Vacancy 2025: The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the recruitment of over 45,000 Home Guard posts in the state. The government has issued an order and approved the recruitment guidelines. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting this recruitment. The board will conduct this recruitment on the same lines as the constable recruitment.
Eligibility and Educational Qualifications
The age limit for candidates for this recruitment is 18 to 30 years. The educational qualification required is a high school (10th grade) pass. Initially, it was discussed that the eligibility criteria would be 12th grade, but now it has been finalized as 10th grade pass.
Recruitment Process
The recruitment process will begin with a written examination. Candidates will then undergo a Physical Standard Test (PST), document verification, and finally, a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). A final merit list will be released for candidates who succeed in all these stages.
Registration Process
The Recruitment Board will conduct online registration in proportion to the number of vacant positions in each district. The registration process will begin on July 1, 2026. Candidates can apply only for the district in which they are a native.
Submitting copies of mark sheets and certificates with the application will be mandatory. Separate vacancies will be allocated for both men and women, and reservations will be calculated as per the rules.
Who Cannot Apply?
Candidates who are regularly employed in a government undertaking or corporation will not be eligible to apply. Furthermore, employees expelled from a government or corporation, individuals with pending criminal cases in court, or candidates with more than one spouse will not be eligible to apply.
Physical Test Standards
– Male candidates will be required to complete a 4.8 km run in 25 minutes.
– Female candidates will be required to complete a 2.4 km run in 14 minutes.
– Height and other physical parameters
– Height for men: Minimum 168 cm
– Height for women: Minimum 152 cm
– Chest for men: 79 cm without inflation and 84 cm when expanded
– Weight for women: Minimum 40 kg
Extra Marks and Preference
In Home Guard recruitment, candidates with certain qualifications will be given preference by awarding them extra marks. A candidate holding an NCC 'C' certificate will receive 3 extra marks. A 'B' certificate holder will receive 2 marks, and an 'A' certificate holder will receive 1 mark. Additionally, candidates holding a Bharat Scouts and Guides certificate will also receive 1 extra mark.
Candidates holding a 'Disaster Friend Training' certificate will receive 3 extra marks in addition to the above points. Candidates holding a valid four-wheeler driving license will also receive 1 extra mark. These extra marks will provide preference in the selection process.
Preference for Equal Marks
If two or more candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will receive priority. If the age is also the same, preference will be determined based on the serial number of the English letter of the name. It is important to note that no waiting list will be maintained for this recruitment.
