Pakistani actress and TikToker Romaisa Khan has revealed that she worked as a teacher at just 17 years old, teaching boys only a year or two younger than herself.
Romaisa made the revelation during her recent appearance on the television show Hansna Mana Hai, where she shared the fascinating story of her early job experience. She explained that while she was studying in her second year of college, she wanted to buy an iPhone to create social media content but couldn’t afford one. To save money for the phone, she decided to take up a teaching job.
According to Romaisa, a local school hired her as a teacher despite her young age, assigning her to teach eighth-grade students. At that time, she was 17, and her students were 15 to 16 years old, only slightly younger than her. Laughing as she recalled the memory, Romaisa said the boys she taught were hardly “kids,” as many already had beards and mustaches.
She humorously added that teaching boys her age wasn’t easy, joking that if she ever had to slap one of them for discipline, they might have been happy about it and told each other, “At least the teacher touched me.” Romaisa went on to reveal that one of her former students recently messaged her on social media, saying he wanted to send his parents to her home with a proposal.
Upon checking, she realized it was one of the boys from her eighth-grade class, but she chose not to reply. Concluding the story with a laugh, Romaisa sent a lighthearted message to her former student through the TV show, saying, “That’s not how it’s done, son.”
