Desk: Mahindra has released a new teaser of its upcoming electric SUV XEV 9S and this time the company’s entire focus is on its interior. It has been confirmed to have a highly digital, technology-equipped cabin layout. Which has three different screens – one for the driver display, a central infotainment touchscreen and one for the front passenger.

The global debut of this SUV will take place on November 27 at the ‘Scream Electric’ event in Bengaluru. Mahindra Designed from the beginning as an electric vehicle.

Many key features of the design and comfort of the XEV 9S have been shown in the new teaser. The front and second row seats are adjustable, along with the flat-bottom steering wheel and minimalist gear selector. You can also get to see adjustable head rest, central armrest, multi-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats with memory function and a panoramic sunroof that extends almost to the entire roof.

The XEV 9S is expected to be offered in both 6- and 7-seat options. It is likely to have a very comfortable cabin layout. The modularity of the INGLO platform means that the XEV 9S will almost certainly share its powertrain and battery architecture with the BE 6 and XEV 9e.

Mahindra can offer the option of two battery packs in it, the target of which is to provide a range of more than 500 kilometers on a single charge. This SUV will also support ultra-fast DC charging and bidirectional vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability. A set of Level 2 ADAS systems are expected to be part of the standard equipment package. The design of the Mahindra XEV 9S closely resembles the XUV.e8 concept and the existing IC-engined XUV700. Many more electric vehicles are in the pipeline including the BE 6 based Rall-E and the facelifted XUV700.
