Bihar Election 2025: Voting for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases. The first phase will be held tomorrow, November 6th, while the second phase will be held on November 11th. This time, millions of voters in the state will cast their votes. If you are also going to vote in the first phase, it is important to know where your polling station is.
Voter slips are often not received on time or are lost. In such cases, you can find out the name and location of your polling station in a few minutes from home through the Election Commission's website. Let us explain how you can check your polling station online.
How to View Polling Station Information Online
To access your polling station information online, first visit the Election Commission of India's website: https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/ on your mobile or laptop. The website will display three options: Search by EPIC, Search by Details, and Search by Mobile. If you have a voter ID card, enter your EPIC number. If you don't know your EPIC number, select Search by Details and fill in information such as your name, father's or husband's name, age, gender, and district.
Or, to search using the number on your voter card, click Search by Mobile, enter the number, and then click Search. Within seconds, your complete information will be displayed, including your polling station, assembly constituency, and booth address. Additionally, by clicking the View on Map option, you can view the location directly on Google Maps. This will provide you with the exact route and distance to reach the polling station.
Keep these important things in mind before casting your vote.
If you're voting for the first time, keep a few important things in mind. Before going to the polling station, bring your voter ID card and voter slip. Not receiving the slip won't prevent you from voting. You can vote using any valid ID, such as a passport, driving license, Aadhaar card, PAN card, or pension book.
Voting begins at 7 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m. But try to cast your vote before noon to avoid crowds. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the polling station, so leave them outside. Follow the instructions of the polling staff and remember to get your ink mark after casting your vote.
