Bank Holidays: Today, on 5th November, the whole country is celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev and Kartik Purnima. For this reason, banks will remain closed in many states on Wednesday. Apart from this, banks will remain closed in two states of the country tomorrow i.e. on 6th November. Assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar on this day, hence banks will remain closed in the voting areas. At the same time, banks will remain closed in Meghalaya also.

Banks will remain closed for five days

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) According to the list of holidays, there will be holidays in different states from November 5 to November 9. These holidays are not simultaneous in all the states, but according to the states due to festivals and special occasions.

6 Banks will remain closed in November

6 Bank branches will remain closed in Bihar and Meghalaya on November. Traditional Nongkrem Dance Festival will be celebrated on this day in Meghalaya. It is a famous cultural festival of the state in which the Khasi tribe people give thanks for the harvest and prosperity through traditional dances and customs. Due to Assembly General Election 2025 in Bihar, government offices and banks will remain closed, so that the employees can participate in the voting process.

Other Bank Holidays in November

7 November (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya due to the traditional Wangala Festival.

8 November (Saturday): Since this day is the second Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country. Bank services will remain closed in Karnataka also due to Kanakdas Jayanti.

9 November (Sunday): All bank branches across the country will remain closed on Sunday. Apart from this, other closed days in November include 2, 16, 23, 30 November and the fourth Saturday, 22 November.
