India takes yet another T20I Series against Australia as the final T20I was declared abandoned due to rain. Indian team had a unassailable lead of 2-1 and were adjudged worthy winners of this trophy. The thunderous lightning forced umpire to escort players off the field when Opening duo ripped apart inexperienced Aussie bowlers in the first five overs. Capitalizing on the dropped chances Abhishek Sharma was 23 off 13 while Shubhman Gill was 29 off 16.

Before the lightening intruppted the game India was oncourse for a mammoth total but rain followed soon and covers never came off. Earlier, India handed a recall to Rinku Singh in place of Tilak Varma as Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and elected to bowl in the fifth and final T20 International at the Gabba.

Notably, Australia has never won a T20I series against India on home Turf. Australia begin on winning note but left with few arrows in the bow as experienced players were released for the upcoming ashes.
