Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi’s Haq has wrapped up the opening week at Rs. 10.1 crore at the Indian box office. The film, which received glorious reviews from the audience, continues to rake in impressive numbers at the box office. Haq saw an increase of about 20 percent over the previous day on Sunday, collecting an estimated Rs. 4.2 crore net on its third day. Directed by Suparn Verma, Haq is inspired by the legendary Shah Bano Case. All eyes are now on the weekday collections.

Actor Yami Gautam, who has received immense praise for her role, celebrated the win on X, sharing that she’d cherish the moment for the rest of her life. The film had a decent opening on Friday and showed 100% growth on Saturday. Yami wrote, “The power of ‘Word of mouth’ .No foul-play or any gimmicks. Straight from our hearts to the audience. Even from trade & media perspective, I feel a lot of positivity that they want a film like ‘ HAQ’ to be a success. It’s a rarity & I shall cherish this moment for life (folded hands emoticon)”

The film also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Husain, Aseem Hattangady and Vartika Singh in key roles, alongside Yami and Emraan in the lead. We’re now waiting to see how it does on its first Monday. HAQ will face Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s De De Pyaar De 2 from the second weekend onwards.
