The leading private telecom company of the country i.e. Jio and the state-owned telecom company of the country BSNL have joined hands. Now that these two companies have come together, other telecom companies have lost their sleep. Jio offers a lot of benefits to its users in one recharge plan, while BSNL’s recharge plan costs less. Now it is believed that there will be a big change in the telecom sector due to the merger of these two companies.

Jio has partnered with BSNL to launch two new Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) recharge plans in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. BSNL is already operating network in both these states. Who will get network coverage through ICR plan?
According to a report by Telecom Talk, it will also benefit Jio users using the BSNL network in remote areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where Jio’s coverage is limited. BSNL ICR service is available on select prepaid recharge plans launched by Jio. Jio said that with this partnership, customers can connect to the BSNL network within the same geographical circle and avail voice, data and SMS services at select locations.
How much will ICR plan cost?
The new recharge plans launched by the company are priced at Rs 196 and Rs 396 and both the plans have a validity of 28 days. The Rs 196 recharge plan offers users 1000 minutes of voice calls and 1000 SMS along with 2GB data. 396 plan will offer 10 GB data. Along with this, this plan will provide the benefits of 1000 minutes of voice calls and 1000 SMS.

What is special about this plan?
According to Jio, both these plans are designed to use BSNL’s ICR network and are not allowed to operate under Jio network or any other network (like Airtel or VI). Only those customers will be able to avail this plan, who have kept the ICR pack active on the BSNL network.
ICR Plan Activation and Coverage Details
As per the terms and conditions, these ICR recharges will work only when the devices are connected to the BSNL network. The plan is currently available to Jio customers of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circles, aiming to provide uninterrupted connectivity in areas with limited Jio network availability.
