This certificate is proof that the person receiving the pension is alive, and on the basis of this, his pension continues further. The government has started such a wonderful facility, through which you can easily complete this important work from your smartphone while sitting at home.
The name of this facility is ‘Face Authentication’ i.e. facial recognition. This technology is a great relief especially for those elderly and sick pensioners who face a lot of difficulty in commuting to the bank.
What is this face authentication technology and how does it work?
This is a digital service based on Aadhar card. In this, the camera of your smartphone scans your face and matches it with your Aadhaar database. As soon as your identity is confirmed, your digital life certificate is automatically generated and delivered to your pension issuing agency (such as a bank or post office).
How to submit life certificate from smartphone? (Step-by-Step Guide)
This process is quite easy. All you need to do is download two mobile apps on your Android smartphone:
- AadhaarFaceRD App: This app works to scan and recognize your face.
- Jeevan Pramaan App: Through this app you generate a certificate by filling your information.
The whole process is as follows:
- Step 1: Download the app: First of all, go to Google Play Store and download and install these two apps (‘AadhaarFaceRD’ and ‘Jeevan Pramaan’) on your phone.
- Step 2: Fill in the details: Open the Jeevan Pramaan app. Here you will have to fill important information like your Aadhar number, mobile number, PPO (Pension Payment Order) number and bank account.
- Step 3: Scan face: When the app asks you to scan your face, hold the phone straight in front of your face and make sure the room is well-lit. Blink your eyes once or twice while looking at the camera. The app will scan your face.
- Step 4: Submit: Once the face is successfully scanned, double check your filled information and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- Step 5: Get confirmation: As soon as the process is completed, a message will come on your registered mobile number, which will contain the ID of your life certificate and the link to download it.
