Children Day Hot Chocolate Recipe:Every year on 14 November, Children’s Day is considered the day of happiness and innocence of children. On this day, every parent wants to give some special surprise to their children.

In such a situation, if you prepare some hot, sweet and chocolatey treat at home, then the day can become even more memorable. There is hardly any better gift than hot chocolate in winter – neither hot soup, nor sweets; A cup of hot chocolate can bring a smile to every child’s face.

Why is hot chocolate the favorite drink of children?

Children’s faces light up when they hear the name of hot chocolate. Its creamy texture and deep chocolate aroma appeal to the mind in any season.

It is not only a tasty drink during winter days but also gives warmth to the body from within. The milk, cocoa and chocolate present in it give instant energy and mood boost to children.

Make café-like hot chocolate at home

To make hot chocolate, you do not need any special machine or expensive ingredients. Just need some basic things and 10 minutes of time.

Required Materials:

  • Full cream milk – 2 cups
  • Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
  • Dark or milk chocolate – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Sugar – 1 to 2 teaspoons (as per taste)
  • Vanilla essence – ¼ tsp
  • Whipped cream or marshmallows – to garnish

Method of preparation

Lightly heat the milk in a pan (be careful not to let it boil). Now add cocoa powder and sugar and mix well. When the milk becomes slightly hot, add chopped chocolate and keep stirring so that the chocolate dissolves completely.

Now turn off the gas and add vanilla essence. Pour into cups, top with whipped cream or marshmallows, and voila — your Children’s Day special hot chocolate is ready!

Can children drink it daily?

Yes, but in limited quantity. It contains both milk and chocolate which are good sources of nutrition and energy for children. However, excess sugar should be avoided. If you want, you can make it more healthy by using a little jaggery or honey in it.

Delicious drink can be made even without chocolate bar

If you don’t have chocolate bars, this drink can also be prepared with just cocoa powder. By adding a little fresh cream its taste becomes even more dense and delicious.

If children like cold drinks then you can serve this hot chocolate cold. It can also be served as a chocolate milkshake by keeping it in the fridge for a while or adding some ice cubes.

Kids will love it both ways. So on this Children’s Day, instead of expensive gifts or sweets from outside, make something special at home.

The hot chocolate made by you will not only touch their heart but will also add sweetness of happiness to the house.
