17 November 2025 Pradosh Vrat auspicious time

During Pradosh Vrat, Lord Shiva is worshiped in the evening. On Monday, November 17, the auspicious time for puja will be from 5:27 pm to 8:27 pm. That means devotees will get full time of 2 hours 40 minutes for worship. On this day, there will be three auspicious yogas named Preeti, Ayushman and Chhatra throughout the day. Due to the existence of these auspicious yogas, the importance of Som Pradosh will be even greater.

Som Pradosh fast-worship method

- Wake up early in the morning on Monday, November 17 and take a pledge to fast and worship. Chant the mantra Om Namah Shivay in your mind throughout the day and do not get angry at anyone or tell lies. Don't gossip about anyone.
- Start the puja at the auspicious time mentioned above but before that make sure to prepare for the puja. Install Shivalinga in a big plate or vessel and offer water on it, then anoint it with milk.
- Once again anoint the Shivalinga with pure water and offer flowers and light a lamp made of pure ghee. After this, offer things like Bilva Patra, Datti flowers, Dhatura, Roli, Abeer, Janeu etc. to Mahadev.
- Even during the puja, one should keep chanting Om Namah Shivay in the mind. Finally, offer food to Lord Shiva and perform aarti. In this way, observing Pradosh fast maintains happiness and prosperity in life.
