A Saturday Kitchen star halted the live show for an exciting announcement.

During the latest instalment (November 15) of the hit BBC culinary programme, host Matt Tebbutt was joined by chefs Vivek Singh and Jess Shadbolt.

Vivek made a classic kadhai chicken, which he paired with garlic and coriander naan bread, while Jess rustled up beaujolais braised duck legs with prunes and crushed celeriac.

Olly Smith was also in the studio to pair all the recipes with the perfect wine, with Jolene Yu and Xiengni Zhou also making a classic Chinese takeway dish.

Plus, singer Olly Murs opened up about his new album, Knees Up, which is set to be released next week.

Later in the show, as Vivek began making his dish, drinks expert Olly took a moment to congratulate the chef on an impressive achievement.

While talking about his restaurants, Vivek said: "I opened another Cinnamon Kitchen in The Queen's Hotel in Leeds earlier on in the year, and so that makes it six for us.

"They're all quite similar in that they all do modern Indian dining, combining the best of both worlds, ingredients and Indian spicing, but on a different price point.

"So, the Cinnamon Club in the Old Westminster Library [is] about to celebrate 25 years. I am really proud of that."

Matt added: "Congratulations, that's amazing."

Vivek continued: "And then we have two Cinnamon Kitchens in London; one in the City of London and another one in Battersea Power Station."

Olly then interjected, saying: "Speaking of London, Vivek, the British Indian Good Food Guide has just published their list of the 100 best Indian restaurants in the UK, and you've been named as one of the very best in London. Congratulations!"

Matt added: "Ah very nice, well done Vivek."

The delighted chef replied: "Thanks very much. In the 25th year, it's quite something. We're really proud of it. It really has been a labour of love that restaurant. It's just continued to evolve and continued to push boundaries in one of the most beautiful dining rooms in London."
