Jaipur, 16 November. Six people died and 14 others were injured in a horrific road accident in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur district on Sunday morning. Police gave this information. According to the police, a tempo carrying devotees collided with a truck loaded with grain sacks on the Jodhpur-Balesar section of the National Highway in the early hours of Sunday. The accident took place near Khari Beri village.
Balesar police station in-charge Mulsingh Bhati said that the tempo going to Ramdevra carrying about 20 pilgrims from Banaskantha and Dhansura area of Gujarat was hit by a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction. “Three women and three others died on the spot,” Bhati said. Their bodies have been kept in the mortuary of Balesar Hospital. 14 injured were taken to the hospital, from where they were referred to MDM Hospital, Jodhpur.” A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
