According to market data Sunil Mittals Bharti Airtel added Rs 55652.54 crore to its market cap to reach Rs 1196700.84 crore emerging as the biggest gainer followed by Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries whose market valuation surged Rs 54941.84 crore to Rs 2055379.61 crore. During the trade week eight of Indias top 10 most-valued firms added a combined Rs 205185.08 crore to their valuation with the mcap of Tata Groups Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) jumping by Rs 40757.75 crore to Rs 1123416.17 crore while ICICI Banks valuation surged by 20834.35 crore to Rs 980374.43 crore. The market capitalisation of State Bank of India (SBI) climbed by Rs 10522.9 crore to Rs 892923.79 crore Narayana Murthy-led Infosys added Rs 10448.32 crore to reach Rs 624198.80 crore while the valuation of HDFC Bank increased by Rs 9149.13 crore to Rs 1520524.34 crore and that of Hindustan Unilever rose by Rs 2878.25 crore to Rs 570187.06 crore. Among the top-10 firms Bajaj Finance saw its mcap erode by Rs 30147.94 crore to Rs 633573.38 crore and the valuation of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) declined by Rs 9266.12 crore to Rs 575100.42 crore emerging as the only laggards last week. During the week the BSE Sensex appreciated by 1346.5 points or 1.62 per cent and the NSE Nifty rose 417.75 points or 1.64 per cent. Markets staged a strong rebound during the week ending firmly in the green after the recent phase of weakness.
