Materials:

  • semolina
  • Besan
  • wheat flour
  • sugar
  • Ino
  • salt
  • ghee

Action:

  • To make Benne Dosa, first of all, add semolina, curd, gram flour, wheat flour, salt and sugar in a big bowl and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Then add some water to it and take the prepared mixture in a mixer bowl and grind it finely. This will prevent lumps in the batter.
  • Take the prepared batter in a bowl and add ino and if required you can add water. Do not add too much water as this may dilute the mixture.
  • Cover the dough occasionally and keep aside to keep the dosa crisp.
  • A lot of ghee is used in making Benne Dosa. Heat a tawa and add a lot of ghee on it and spread the prepared mixture round and fry it properly on both sides.
  • Apply butter on top of dosa and add podi masala on top, fold dosa and serve dosa with coconut chutney, sambar.
